Coach Matt is the heart behind the Peaches—equal parts coach, cheerleader, and club visionary. A selfless and energetic leader, he brings a fun-loving spirit that keeps the girls smiling and the program thriving.

By day, Matt is a marketing executive; by night (and weekends… and most daylight hours in between), he’s all about the game. A former catcher and baseball kid, he brings a sharp eye, a team-first mentality, and full-on girl-dad energy to every practice and dugout moment.

He’s coached across Romeo Parks & Rec, Romeo Girls Softball, and the Romeo Renegades, always with the same approach: keep it fun, keep it focused, and show up for the girls. Coach Matt's priority is making every girl feel valued, capable, and celebrated.

For him, coaching isn’t just about softball—it’s about raising confident young women, building a team that feels like family, and creating moments the players will carry with them long after the final inning.

Brant Perry

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR,

With over a decade of experience in softball coaching, Coach Brant Perry is known for his commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. His coaching philosophy emphasizes not just athletic excellence, but also personal growth, discipline, and leadership—key attributes that extend far beyond the diamond.

Coach Perry made a powerful statement in the Michigan softball community with his 2006 Romeo Renegades team. Despite not being affiliated with a major organization, his squad competed toe-to-toe with the best programs in the state. The team’s success was a testament to Coach Perry’s skill, vision, and ability to inspire young athletes. Eight of his players from that remarkable team went on to play collegiate sports—seven in softball and one in volleyball—ranging from NCAA Division I to JUCO levels.

Coach Brant firmly believes that great practices build great teams, and he brings that mindset to every training session and game. As a leader, he is dedicated to developing our athletes, instilling a culture of accountability, hard work, and continuous improvement. His legacy is measured not only in wins but mentorship, perseverance, and passion for the game.

Mikayla Ciesluk

CLUB PITCHING INSTRUCTOR

 A junior at Stevenson High School, Mikayla has been playing softball for 11 years—beginning with four years of recreational ball before transitioning to seven years of travel, including two years on the varsity team. She’s earned honors like Rookie of the Year, All-County Honorable Mention, and a spot on Macomb County’s Top 25 Players to Watch.

Softball has been her passion since day one, and she’s currently exploring college programs to continue her playing career. A multi-sport athlete, Mikayla has also competed in volleyball, basketball, and track.

As Club Pitching Instructor, she brings high-level experience, a player’s perspective, and a strong connection with younger athletes, helping them grow with confidence, focus, and love for the game.
